As an organization TCEP host staple community events that reflect our deep commitment to culture, empowerment, and collective growth. These events are open to all, they are a mix of annual gatherings that are designed to uplift our community through celebration, education, and resource-sharing. From honoring women and youth, to providing school supplies and showcasing local talent, each event is a reflection of the vibrant spirit of Little Village.

Día Del Nopal
​​Día Del Nopal takes place in February, it is a joyful celebration rooted in cultural pride. Centered around the nopal (cactus), a powerful symbol of Mexican identity, survival, and nourishment, this event honors the deep cultural and ancestral knowledge within our communities. Through food, art displays, and networking, TCEP creates a space for our community to remain proudly connected to its roots and reflect on the beauty and strength of our shared culture.
El Día del Nopal se celebra en febrero, es una celebración de alegría arraigada en el orgullo cultural. Centrado en el nopal, un símbolo de la identidad Mexicana, la supervivencia y alimentación, este evento honra el profundo conocimiento cultural y ancestral de nuestras comunidades. A través de la comida, las exhibiciones de arte y networking, TCEP crea un espacio para que nuestra comunidad se mantenga orgullosamente conectada con sus raíces y reflexione sobre la belleza y la fuerza de nuestra cultura compartida.
Conferencia de la Mujer
Conferencia de la Mujer is held annually in March in honor of Women’s History Month to celebrate the incredible women in our community. This full day event offers culturally rooted educational workshops, art-making, and wellness activities. The conference creates a welcoming space for connection, growth, and reflection. It is designed to uplift, empower, and inspire all who attend.
La Conferencia de la Mujer se celebra anualmente en marzo en honor al Mes de la Historia de la Mujer para celebrar a las increíbles mujeres de nuestra comunidad. Este evento de un día completo ofrece talleres educativos con raíces culturales, creación artística y actividades de bienestar. La conferencia crea un espacio acogedor para la conexión, el crecimiento y la reflexión. Está diseñada para inspirar, empoderar y animar a todos los asistentes.
Día Del Niño
Celebrated across Latin America, El Día del Niño is a joyful celebration of children, youth, and the inner child in each of us. TCEP’s Día del Niño celebration on April 19th features fun activities tailored to Little Village youth, including a movie screening, piñatas, table games, raffle prizes, arts and crafts, and delicious food.
Celebrado en toda Latinoamérica, el Día del Niño es una alegre celebración de los niños, los jóvenes y el niño interior que cada uno lleva dentro. La celebración del Día del Niño de TCEP, que ocurre el 19 de Abril, incluye divertidas actividades diseñadas para los jóvenes de La Villita, como una proyección de cine, piñatas, juegos de mesa, rifas, manualidades y deliciosa comida.
Kermes/ Telpo Art Fest
TCEP partners with Telpochcalli School for its annual outdoor Arts Festival. A vibrant celebration of student, teacher, and community performances, along with student presentations from their trimester-long work with artists in residence. By merging this event with our Kermes in the boulevard parking lot, we not only uplift youth voices through art and culture but also deepen our connection with Telpochcalli families. This collaboration creates a joyful and inclusive space where food, music, and community come together to highlight the power of creativity and collective celebration.
TCEP colabora con la Escuela Telpochcalli para su Festival Anual de Arte al Aire Libre, una vibrante celebración de presentaciones de estudiantes, docentes y la comunidad, junto con presentaciones estudiantiles de su trabajo trimestral con artistas en residencia. Al fusionar este evento con nuestra Kermés en el estacionamiento del bulevar, no solo elevamos las voces de los jóvenes a través del arte y la cultura, sino que también profundizamos nuestra conexión con las familias de Telpochcalli. Esta colaboración crea un espacio alegre e inclusivo donde la comida, la música y la comunidad se unen para destacar el poder de la creatividad y la celebración colectiva.
Little Village Youth Summer Leadership Institute Showcase
​​​Born from the vision of high school youth leaders in the Ollin YouthGroup, the Ollin Summer Institute is a youth-led initiative that provides mentorship and leadership development experiences for middle school youth. Based on a near-peer model, the youth leaders direct the development, facilitation, and coordination of the institute activities with support from the Youth Programs Coordinator. The Ollin Summer Institute focuses on middle school youth and recently expanded to include youth transitioning high school this year.
​​​Nacido de la visión de los líderes juveniles de secundaria del Grupo Juvenil Ollin, el Instituto de Verano Ollin es una iniciativa liderada por jóvenes que ofrece mentoría y experiencias de desarrollo de liderazgo para jóvenes de secundaria. Basado en un modelo de casi-pares, los líderes juveniles dirigen el desarrollo, la facilitación y la coordinación de las actividades del instituto con el apoyo del Coordinador de Programas Juveniles. El Instituto de Verano Ollin se centra en jóvenes de secundaria y recientemente se amplió para incluir a jóvenes que ingresan a la secundaria este año.
Back to School Bash
A strong start to the school year can make a big difference in a student's success. Each August, TCEP supports families with the return to school by connecting them to community resources and free school supplies at our Back to School Bash. Filled with fun activities, food, and giveaways, this event is our largest community resource fair of the year.
Un buen comienzo del año escolar puede marcar una gran diferencia en el éxito de un estudiante. Cada agosto, TCEP apoya a las familias con el regreso a clases, conectándolos con recursos comunitarios y útiles escolares gratuitos en nuestra Fiesta de Regreso a Clases. Repleta de actividades divertidas, comida y regalos, este evento es nuestra feria de recursos comunitarios más grande del año.
Luchando Juntos Annual Fundraiser
Luchando Juntos is one of TCEP’s staple events and our largest annual fundraiser, taking place every September. It’s a special opportunity to bring together partners and community members to celebrate our shared work and the meaningful impact we've made throughout the year for the families we serve.
